When we begin to consider the numerous external influences that their children face in today’s society, which is compounded by parents all struggling to do the right thing in a world that is so very different to the world that our parents themselves grew up in. We can begin to acknowledge the need to provide opportunities to discuss contemporary ways of supporting our children in today’s society whilst still reaffirming our values and culture.
Equally when a child starts school, invariably parents have no prior knowledge of the problems and issues that can arise and how to address them. The educational system is itself extremely complex and difficult to comprehend.
Our training workshops are designed to give a clear understanding on the range of issues covered; answering all of the most frequently question and engaging parents into discussions where sharing and learning takes place.
Our workshops are tailored to support all parents’ educational and parental interests and in particular disadvantaged, black & minority ethnic parents. And cover a wide range of educational and parenting issues, for Example: How to become a School Governers; Homework Support for Success; Parenting Skills, Preventing School Exclusions etc.
